LINCOLN – Adding to a growing trend including in neighboring Cumberland, the Lincoln Democratic Town Committee has endorsed Democrat Helena Foulkes over incumbent Gov. Dan McKee.
“The Lincoln Democratic Town Committee sincerely appreciates all the candidates that took time out of their busy schedules to visit and to speak to our members,” states a release.
The committee, it stated, “has voted overwhelmingly” to endorse the following for statewide office and Congress:
Governor – Helena Foulkes
Lt. Governor – Xay Khamsyvoravong
Attorney General – Keith Hoffmann
Secretary of State – Gregg Amore
General Treasurer – James Diossa
U.S. Senate – Jack Reed
Congress District 1 – Gabe Amo
“Rhode Island has some big challenges ahead of us. We believe these candidates are ready to meet the moment and will work hard for the people of Lincoln, and every community in the state,” said the town Democrats.
