Branded as the biggest celebration of the BEST Iced Coffee in Rhode Island, the RI FOOD FIGHTS 13th Annual Iced Coffee Summer Celebration kicks off July 1.
RI FOOD FIGHTS founder Jim Nellis said a record 69 coffee shops are partnering this year, from July 1-July 31, in what last year was the fastest sellout in RI FOOD FIGHTS history.
The event of record for finding the best of the best iced coffee is one of a series of monthly passport-based culinary competitions including wings, burgers, sandwiches, hot wieners, ice cream, pizza, tacos, and more. There’s no better way to find the best iced coffee than experiencing it firsthand, according to RI FOOD FIGHTS.
This throw-down has sold out 12 years in a row. There are still a few tickets left at BestIcedCoffeeRI.com and the entire calendar can be found at RIFoodFights.com.
This is the 15th year overall, and 13th for the iced coffee competition. Last year, RIFF partnered with 428 restaurants. RI Food Fights has now hosted 157 of these competitions total.
Participating coffee shops agree to offer one free iced coffee to folks with a coupon from RIFF, and participants have all of July to use up to $400 worth of coupons for a $40 passport.
In August, RI Food Fights will host its ninth search for the #BestScoopShopRI to determine Rhode Islanders’ favorite iced cream shop.
