ATTLEBORO – Police arrested and charged a Pawtucket man on Sunday morning in connection with a break-in and vandalism at Brennan Middle School and alleged assaults on three police officers following his arrest.
Jamison Grover, 25, was arrested and charged with:
• Breaking and entering in the nighttime
• Breaking and entering into a motor vehicle
• Malicious destruction of property over $1,200 (13 counts)
• Larceny from a building
• Disturbing the peace
• Disorderly conduct
• And assault and battery on a police officer (three counts)
On Sunday at 4:43 a.m., Attleboro police responded to Brennan Middle School after the alarm system detected motion in several locations inside the building. Multiple officers searched the building and discovered numerous lockers had been rummaged through.
During the investigation, officers determined that Grover had allegedly entered a police cruiser parked outside the school. Officers located him outside and took him into custody. Grover was combative and uncooperative at the scene, shouting and swearing at officers, they said. He allegedly assaulted three Attleboro officers later at the police station.
A search of Grover located property belonging to a student. Officers also discovered 13 damaged window screens at the school, with the damage estimated at more than $1,200.
Grover was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Oct. 19, in Attleboro District Court.
