We all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves, and local news is one of those causes that should bring us all together. News for where we live is critical to the strengthening of our communities and our enjoyment of them.

Too much of our news ecosystem is being taken over by corporate and political interests, and we believe that independent sources run by people in our communities are critically important to our shared future.

Our editor and founder, Ethan Shorey, has two decades of experience gathering and producing local news stories that people engage with, making residents aware of thousands of stories they wouldn’t have otherwise known about.
