NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Police Detective Division executed search warrants on Charles Street Monday, resulting in the arrest of a 35-year-old resident on numerous narcotics and weapons charges.
Police arrested Jaurami Batista, of North Providence, after a lengthy investigation and after executing search warrants at his residences on Charles Street.
During the search, detectives seized five handguns, one short-barrel style ghost rifle, six large-capacity magazines, about 668 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 78 grams of suspected MDMA/methamphetamine, and about 95 grams of suspected fentanyl.
The following were also seized:
• A Taurus G2, 9mm pistol
• A Glock 22, 40 caliber pistol with fully automatic conversion
• A Glock 17, 9 mm pistol
• A Turus Judge revolver
• A Derringer 22 caliber revolver
• A short barrel AR style ghost rifle
• And six large-capacity magazines.
