NORTH PROVIDENCE – On Oct. 14, a North Providence Police Department patrolman conducting a traffic stop on Mineral Spring Avenue after observing a driver talking on his phone found more than at first met the eye.
Police arrested 54-year-old Ronald Dionisi, of Johnston, for possession of a firearm without a license or permit after finding an unlicensed Taurus 1911 .45 mm fully loaded handgun and an 8-round magazine next to the gun under the driver’s seat.
They also discovered that Dionisi was driving on a suspended license.
