Wendy’s raises funds for Adoption Rhode Island with a sweet fundraiser

Through June 28, while supplies last, customers at participating Wendy’s restaurants in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island can receive six free Jr. Frosty coupons for just $1 while supporting Adoption Rhode Island.

Coupons are valid through Aug. 31  at participating southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island Wendy’s. Wendy’s will donate the net proceeds of coupon book sales (approximately 75¢ from each book.) to Adoption Rhode Island. The funds will help Adoption Rhode Island continue to assist children in state care waiting for families or other lifelong connections.

“The level of dedication and compassion the Wendy’s family has for all children in foster care is inspirational,” said Darlene Allen, CEO and executive director of Adoption Rhode Island, an agency now celebrating more than 40 years of adoption excellence and the joy of knowing thousands of children are now in the loving care of forever families. “As we reflect on the last four decades, Wendy’s is certainly among those leading organizations changing the face of foster care, both locally and nationally, and we are so proud to partner with them.”

Harvey Bennett, president of Wendy’s Providence Co-op said, “Wendy’s founder, Dave Thomas, believed that everyone has a responsibility to give something back and to help those in need. And because he was adopted, the cause of adoption held a special place in his heart. We are driven by Dave’s legacy and feel a responsibility to help ensure that every child finds a forever home and the love and support they need. Through the purchase of Frosty coupon books, our generous and loyal customers help us to keep Dave’s spirit alive.”
