A very helpful reader asked for a listing of what they can do to help as The Local Insider grows in its opening months, so here’s my (hopefully helpful) response:
• Purchase an affordable ad and marketing package by emailing .
• Tell your friends that they should reach out about affordable ad packages.
• Share our Facebook page with your friends and family.
• Like and love stories on social media. Even a laughing or angry emoji is OK.
• Share stories you find interesting.
• Pay close attention to ads such as those from United Way of Rhode Island and others, especially those featuring a call to action on the Causes page. Willing to sign up as a volunteer during Rhode Island’s upcoming Summer of Soccer? Hit the ad and sign up. Here’s what one of those ads looks like:
• Make a one-time investment or become a regular contributor to what The Local Insider does.
• Read, read, read, to understand what’s going on in your community.
• Email with great tips, feedback, and frequent letters to the editor. We want to run letters with photo headshots, so send those along too.
