WOONSOCKET – Le Petit Café, serving pastries and coffee, is planned for a former skate park space in the Diamond Hill Plaza, 2000 Diamond Hill Road.
Allison Ciminero, owner of applicant Go Play Corp., went before the City Council on June 15 to speak in favor of a first-class victualing license for the cafe, which she said will offer patrons pre-made pastries and fresh-made drinks.

The cafe will serve the public, said Ciminero, but also patrons of her Go Play Corp. location opening next door.
The cafe and indoor children’s playground are being created within the previous short-term home of Galileo’s Skatepark, located within unit 6 of a plaza that’s seen significant turnover in recent years. This will fill a vacancy next to the Burlington store.

City Councilor Kristina Fox asked Ciminero about her particular offerings, including whether there will be iced coffee, and Ciminero responded that yes, iced coffee will be offered and there will be an espresso machine.
“Oh my goodness, I have waited so long for you in this city,” said Fox.
The council unanimously approved the victualing license for Le Petit Café, allowing the coffee shop to proceed.
Go Play Corp. has a location in East Greenwich, and it’s marketed as a “huge indoor playground for kids,” with camps, parties, and memberships. Its website announces that a second location is coming this summer.
This is one of several positive developments in the area that this writer has reported on recently, including a planned new grocery store, cannabis store, flower shop, and car wash.
