Bellingham Beef Barn property goes up for sale

BELLINGHAM – Five years after the opening of the busy Industrial Drive Beef Barn location in North Smithfield, the property a few miles away that has long been home to the Bellingham version of the restaurant is up for sale.

A listing on Loopnet describes the available property as the former home of The Beef Barn. It is being marketed as a turn-key restaurant operation, and the existing restaurant will remain in place until a new owner is found.

The 2,800-square-foot building and nearly half-acre property at 160 Pulaski Blvd. in Bellingham is listed by Dan Feiner and MG Commercial for $1.05 million. The listing describes ample parking and full existing furniture, fixtures, and equipment. A liquor license is also available for transfer.

Beef Barn Restaurant has now confirmed The Local Insider’s story on its Facebook page, saying that after 10 years of successful growth, they have decided to put the Bellingham location up for sale as a turn-key operation. They said it will ideally remain a Beef Barn location as they build their brand and future franchise options.

“We have loved our community in Bellingham and look for the the best option for the space and our amazing employees,” they said. “Beef Barn Bellingham will remain open until we find the best option for the future of the property.”

Some patrons with scheduled lunch breaks are bemoaning the loss of their easy access and the need to go the extra five miles to get to the North Smithfield location.

“Terrible. This one is always busy and North Smithfield is already tough to find a place to sit,” said Kellen Marcil in a comment posted on social media.

Lincoln’s Ken Pichette noted that the Bellingham location used to be his favorite pizza place, Twins Pizza, before becoming another Beef Barn, and others pointed out that it was also Beef Barn before Twins, going back to the 1970s.

Back in the summer of 2021, Beef Barn closed down its Greenville Road location in North Smithfield and opened its new Industrial Drive restaurant. Co-owner Marc Branchaud said at the time that he had planned to relocate in the summer of 2020, but the effects of the pandemic forced a delay.

Other qualities being marketed include strategic location near I-495 and strong retail presence, prime visibility and signage opportunity on a roadway with 18,000-plus cars per day. Outdoor patio dining and seating would be included, supporting expanded service options. “Proven site with historic restaurant presence and consistent customer traffic,” states the listing.

“This property offers an exceptional opportunity to acquire a 2,800-square-foot turn-key restaurant facility located at 160 Pulaski Blvd. in Bellingham, Mass.,” it reads.

“With proximity to a strong mix of national retailers, local businesses, and established neighborhoods, this location provides a robust and diverse customer base, ideal for a dining concept in search of a proven market,” it states.
