“As St. Jeanne Jugan said, ‘Making the elderly happy, that’s what counts. With this spirit, the Little Sisters of the Poor are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our garden for the fourth year in a row,” says Sister Jeanne Tigga, Mother Superior of the Jeanne Jugan Residence. “We are so grateful and blessed by the restaurants, sponsors, volunteers and guests who make this event possible and celebrate with us each year.”

The event is open to ages 21 and older. The Little Sisters say they are glad to welcome back Audrey McClelland of WPRI’s “The Rhode Show” as a special guest, along with Intermezzo Trio who will provide music for the evening. Guests will have the opportunity to view the grounds of the Jeanne Jugan Residence, where the Little Sisters have cared for the elderly poor for nearly five decades. The Little Sisters have ministered in Pawtucket since 1883.

The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in France in 1839.
