Missing teen’s phone pings in North Smithfield

NORTH SMITHFIELD – The phone of a teen reported missing from Lincoln, Mass., has pinged in North Smithfield, according to his mother. She said Thursday that 16-year-old David Romano logged into Facebook late Wednesday afternoon.

His mother said they are originally from North Smithfield, and Romano may be heading south.

According to an online posting, the Lincoln Police Department in conjunction with Hanscom Air Force Base personnel are attempting to locate Romano. He stands about 6 feet tall with long purple hair and a slim build. He was last seen on Tuesday, June 2, at around 9:30 p.m. possibly wearing grey sweat pants with bleach marks.
