SMITHFIELD – The Cove Swim School, a new swim school targeting swimmers in northern Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts, is preparing to open.
The swim school will be located at 34B Lark Industrial Highway, a multi-tenant industrial property in the area behind Stop & Shop and A & W Root Beer.
According to the company, there’s still a lot of work ahead before they open.
Co-founder Michael Andoscia said they’re currently anticipating opening in the first quarter of 2027 and are excited to bring a dedicated swim school to northern Rhode Island. He said this will be their first location, and they are excited to bring it to their home community.
The company promises to help children and adults become safer and more confident swimmers through structured, supportive instruction in a 90-degree heated pool. The business will also offer low-stimulation lesson hours for swimmers who may benefit from a quieter pool environment.

Monthly tuition is $129 or $139 per month, and includes four lessons per month, or one per week. Class sizes vary based on children’s age and swimming ability.
“From our signature ocean-inspired colors to our friendly otter mascot, every detail is being designed to create a fun, welcoming environment where kids can build confidence, learn lifesaving skills, and develop a lifelong love of swimming,” says the company, found at www.thecoveswimschool.com.
According to a listing, the property has been home to multiple companies and light distribution uses. The flex building was built 23 years ago.
