WOONSOCKET – The Friends of the Oak Hill Cemetery thanked attendees who came to what they described as a beautiful Memorial Day service for Civil War veterans by Descendants of Civil War Veterans
They thanked the Department of Rhode Island, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Sen. Melissa Murray, and Sen. Brian Thompson for attending, as well as Zena Bliss Camp 12, 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers Co. B Reenactors, 3rd Rhode Island Heavy Artillery, Sons Of Veterans Reserve, and everyone else for the service and wreath-laying ceremony.

They thanked everyone who came out to show support, members of Woonsocket Post 7 and United Veterans Council of Greater Woonsocket, including members of the Friends of the Oak Hill Cemetery board of directors and members of the community and general public for honoring and remembering fallen veterans.
