Pawtucket Democratic City Committee endorses Grebien

PAWTUCKET – The Pawtucket Democratic City Committee has overwhelmingly endorsed incumbent Mayor Donald Grebien over Adam Greenman. The vote took place on Monday, June 22.

Thirty-one members voted to endorse Grebien in his re-election bid, compared to three for Greenman.

“I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the endorsement of the Pawtucket Democratic City Committee,” said Grebien in a posted statement. “The members of this committee are the heart and soul of our community – dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to strengthen our neighborhoods, support our residents, and advance the values we share.Their overwhelming support is both humbling and inspiring. My family and I are thankful for their confidence in my leadership, and I remain committed to building on our progress and working every day to make Pawtucket an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Collective Action for Education

The committee voted unanimously to endorse all three at-large incumbent Democrats in the City Council election, Yesenia Rubio, Mike Araujo, and Roberto Moreno, as well as School Committee members Matthew Wildenhain (37 votes), James Chellel (32 votes), Kim Grant (35 votes), Joanne Bonollo (28 votes), and Juanpablo Barrera (28 votes).
