BELLINGHAM – Owners of Beef Barn on Pulaski Boulevard reiterate that the location isn’t closing, despite an active marketing brochure on its real estate listing saying that it’s searching for a “new owner and new concept.”
That listing, active since early summer, also refers to it as “the former home of the Beef Barn, a well-known establishment.”
“Yes, we’re open and we’re not closing,” said the owners in a post Thursday. “Rumors are still circulating about our Bellingham location, so Michelle, Pat and Kristen wanted to help us set the record straight…We’re here, we’re open, and we’re ready to serve all your Beef Barn favorites so come visit your favorite people, grab a bite to eat, and say hello. We’d love to see you.”
They added, “And please help us put the rumors to rest by sharing this post and spreading the word.”
The post had more than 360 shares as of late afternoon. Many commenters note that the rumors came from the restaurant’s own Facebook post and listing.
The property listing in the brochure reads as follows:
“Freestanding 2,800-square-foot turn-key restaurant facility situated on .43-acre parcel available for sale. 160 Pulaski Boulevard presents a unique opportunity to acquire the former Beef Barn restaurant, a well-known landmark property, along with the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) located along Bellingham’s highly traveled Route 126 commercial corridor. The property includes approximately 38 parking spaces and outdoor patio seating. Well established restaurant with strong restaurant sales in search of new owner and new concept. Liquor license is available subject to transfer.”
They said back in July that the restaurant will ideally remain a Beef Barn location as they build their brand and future franchise options.
“We have loved our community in Bellingham and look for the the best option for the space and our amazing employees,” they said. “Beef Barn Bellingham will remain open until we find the best option for the future of the property.”
On Labor Day, the restaurant celebrated five years in existence for its 200 Industrial Drive location in North Smithfield.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the loyal customers who made the move with us, the new customers who have discovered the Beef Barn and Pound Hill along the way, and the dedicated employees whose hard work has made the past five years possible,” stated the owners.
In other Beef Barn news, a previous location is being turned into a gas station.
