What a season for Franklin Farm.
To every volunteer who gave their time, energy and heart this year’s growing season: THANK YOU! Your dedication makes a lasting difference in lives.
As we look ahead to 2027, we are grateful for every one of you who helps Franklin Farm continue to expand our impact, not just in what is grown here, but in hope, generosity, and a stronger community.
We are growing a community that cares, including so many of you who volunteered for the first time this year!

What many people don’t realize as they volunteer is that they’re not just playing a part in collecting a pre-determined vegetable total. The more volunteers we have and the harder they work, the more we’re able to harvest to meet the needs of our neighbors.
This year’s harvest totals tell a powerful story of dedication, generosity, and community spirit. Our volunteers again demonstrated what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose: helping those experiencing food insecurities in our communities.

This year, we grew an incredible 37,624 pounds of fresh vegetables.
Here are more details on what we were able to accomplish:
• 34,718 pounds of vegetables donated, providing an estimated 185,163 servings.
• 10 local agencies served, delivering naturally grown produce to those who need it most.
• 2,367 pounds sold at the farm stand, with every dollar going back into next year’s growing season.
• 539 pounds harvested in the No-Till Garden (pretty impressive for an experimental garden!)

Behind every pound is a volunteer who turned the soil, laid the rows, planted seeds and seedlings, pulled weeds, tended the gardens, harvested the produce, and carefully boxed it for distribution. Every task, big or small, contributed to this remarkable achievement.
These numbers represent so much more than vegetables. They represent thousands of meals, support for our local partner agencies, and neighbors helping neighbors.
